No rate cut: HDFC

Home loans lender HDFC has no plans to lower its interest rates as of now, its top executive said. "We have no plans to lower our interest rates as of now," HDFC's Chairman, Deepak Parekh, told reporters on the sidelines of a function here today.
He said that the GDP groth in FY 10 was likely to be around 6.605 per cent which willl be in line with 6 per cent pegged by the Reserve Bank. On inflation, Parekh said that the wholesale price index (WPI) was low whereas the consumer price index (CPI) was still high. “The aim should be to bring down CPI which is till on the higher side,” he said.
